Frequently Asked Questions:

Does the apartment have linens and towels? Yes, our vacation apartments are stocked with plenty of good quality linens for every bed and towels for our guests. 

Is the kitchen fully functional with dishes, pots, pans, etc.? Every full kitchen has an oven, cooktop, refrigerator, sink, complete sets of meat and dairy dishes, pots and utensils. Many have microwave, toaster oven and/or crock pot. 

What about a plata and Shabbos urn? Every unit has both.

Can I have it cleaned while I am there? We do not offer housekeeping services, however we can give you the contact information for the cleaning service we recommend. In select apartments, the owner requires a professional cleaning mid-way in stays of more than two weeks for an added fee.

Is there a washer/dryer? Most apartments offer a washer/dryer, most are full sized. (See individual listings)

Do you have secure internet access? Yes, all apartment rentals include free wireless internet.

Is there parking nearby? Some apartments offer private parking when noted, while others have street parking according to city regulations. Our Old City apartment do not offer parking. However there is public parking on Har Tzion and at Mamilla. 

Is this a personal home or strictly a rental property? The apartments are set up as rentals. The owners do also enjoy staying in their rentals. Their belongings are placed in owner's closets that are either locked or clearly marked, leaving our guests plenty of space to unpack.

Is there a deposit? We require at least a 20% deposit to reserve your dates.

Is it refundable? Generally, if you cancel your reservation, the deposit is not refundable. If, however, we are able to fill your dates with another rental, we will refund up to 80% of your deposit. OR: You may apply your deposit to any apartment you, or someone you refer, rents through us within a year of your booking. 

When is the rest of the money due? The remainder is due via check or credit card 10 days prior to your arrival.

Are there any fees I need to be aware of? Every rental incurs a minimum $100 housekeeping fee after your leave. 

I will not be able to stay as long as I booked, may I have a refund? If we are able to fill your dates, we may be able to send you a refund.

How early in the day can I arrive at the apartment? Check in is 4 PM. Check out is 10 AM. If the apartment is not booked, early check in or late check out can be arranged. 

I am leaving on a midnight flight and need to stay until the evening. Do I have to pay for the whole night?Afternoon check out can sometimes be arranged. We may charge 1/2 day rent for late check out. 

When will I receive my security deposit back? After housekeeping has determined that there is no damage due to neglect or intent we return or destroy your security deposit check. If you know of any damage, please bring it to our attention. Normal wear and tear is not considered damage due to neglect or intent. 

What about utilities? A utility deposit is customary in stays of longer than 2 weeks. If this is the case, we read the electric and water meters upon arrival and the day of departure. Your bill is calculated and the account is settled at that time. 

I keep strictly kosher, how do I know the apartment will accommodate my level of kashrut? In our strictly kosher apartments, we ask the standard of kashrus observed and check references. Recommended Hechsherim

I do not keep kosher, but will respect the owner's wishes and bring only kosher into the apartment. In our strictly kosher apartments, we are able to accommodate only kosher observant renters. We are able to supply non kosher dishes, pots and utensils in several of our kosher apartments. This is noted on their page on our website.
